Fintta
Technical leadership of a web and mobile product for sports-venue management and amateur football organization, bringing together bookings, payments, operations, and data-informed experience.
Context
Fintta connected sports-venue managers responsible for bookings, services, and financial operations with amateur football groups that needed to organize matches, communication, and shared costs.
Responsibilities
Front-end technical leadership; web and mobile architecture; collaboration with Backend, Design, and the CEO; development of bookings, shared payments, venue administration, a financial mini-CRM, chat, polls, reminders, and rankings; behavioral analysis with UXCam; onboarding; mentoring and code reviews.
Challenges
Represent complex operational rules
Bookings involved scheduling, rescheduling, cancellation, recurrence, additional services, and payments.
Connect web and mobile experiences
Venue managers and players had different needs but participated in the same organization and payment flow.
Inform onboarding with real behavior
The experience needed to evolve from usage data, session recordings, and heatmaps.
Decisions & trade-offs
Establish standards for web and mobile
Contexto
The applications needed to support the evolution of a product with connected experiences across two platforms.
Decisão
Define and evolve the Front-end architecture with React, React Native, and TypeScript, establishing technical standards for the product.
Instrument before evolving onboarding
Contexto
Experience problems needed to be identified from actual user behavior.
Decisão
Implement UXCam and use usage data, sessions, and heatmaps in the design of the new onboarding experience.
Integrate shared payments into bookings
Contexto
Participants needed to split costs associated with venue bookings.
Decisão
Create a shared-payment flow within the product experience.
The solution
The solution connected a web platform for venue management with a mobile app for organizing matches. Bookings, recurrence, services, payments, and financial tracking supported operations; chat, reminders, voting, rankings, and cost splitting supported groups. UXCam and the new onboarding connected observed behavior to experience improvements.
Impact
Connected operations and organization
The product brought venue management and group organization together through complementary web and mobile experiences.
QualitativoUsage-informed evolution
Usage data, session recordings, and heatmaps began informing experience improvements and the new onboarding.
QualitativoRetention recorded in the product
During my time at Fintta, the design and implementation of the new onboarding, informed by behavioral analysis, contributed to the retention recorded in the product. This was a team outcome, not an exclusively individual result.
Learnings
In products that combine operational rules and social behavior, architecture and experience need to evolve together. Instrumentation, technical standards, and knowledge sharing support better decisions throughout the product.
